I've been coming here for years!!! I'll drive clear across town for these snacks we always come for the elote and Cheeto pies the funnel cakes are the best! Now keep in mind if you're an impatient person this line isn't for you because they're always going to have a line in the evenings so you may want to try mid day! 10/10 when it comes to the food the service sometimes isn't the best but i get it the employees are wore out from all the business

Flamingos Chill has been a recent discovery for me.  I was thrilled to finally come by and check it out after seeing how busy it can get and seeing multiple people mention it to me as a "must visit spot." The lines tend to be long during the weekend so I figured this place must be pretty good and it did not disappoint. Everything I ordered was delicious and very filling. Its the perfect place anyone could go to if they are on a tight budget or looking for a place with a great environment or even just trying to find a place to hang out. The decor and the atmosphere was very welcoming and lively.  I came here with my family and we decided to be adventures and try and get a variety of the menu; our order consisted of two corn in cups with all toppings but hot sauce, one caramel frape, one ice cream cone, nachos and lastly a fruit platter. The fruit platter was the highlight of our order it included a side of salt and tajin to be able to sprinkle it on the fruits to your preference. This simple detailed elevated the platter so much, the fruits were fresh and a very nice color, showing the fruits were either cut in the morning or cut when a fruit platter is ordered. The corn in cups were another highlight in our order, it came with the perfect ratio of cheese and mayonnaise and tasted even better with everything mixed up. The frappe came in a huge cup with whipped cream, an ice cream cone and syrup; a perfect treat for anyone with a sweet tooth. The frappe itself has a rich and creamy texture along with a sweet caramel flavor. The nachos are a must try, they had the perfect amount of cheese with the chip ratio, a big plus since sometimes an issue I come across when ordering nachos at other places I come across the issue of there not being enough cheese or enough chips for what you are paying or the size of the bow this place did it perfectly. The wait time for everything to come out was about 30 minutes on a Saturday afternoon, for the length of the line the service was pretty fast.  Flamingos Chill genuinely has something for everyone! Its a place that welcomes people and a lot of Houston locals and it  caters to many people; weather you are in a tight budget or just simply craving some good food. this place will not disappoint. Down to the portion sizes, well balanced flavors, welcoming atmosphere, this place is a must visit to any Houston local or any one coming to explore the city. Incredible place really, I definitely see myself coming back and mentioning it to more people or even coming back with friends and family. I can not wait to come back again soon and I am very looking forward to trying out even more of the menu.

If I said there was no wait I would be lying, but these raspas are worth the wait. Even though prices have changed these raspas make it 100% worth it. Their sizes are massive! I genuinely love this place.

I've been coming here for years and it's because they have great raspas and nachos. The service could use some help because it takes a long time to get your order, if you don't mind waiting it shouldn't be an issue. It's a great place for hot days.

Definitely a busy spot will have to wait in line but totally worth it! Their shaved ice is on point for the snow cones and the funnel cake is a 10/10

I found out about this spot from a post on Instagram. I think it was the Houston Secrets page. What got my attention was the $1 snow cones, I haven't seen those prices in years. They did warn that there will be a long line and waiting time over the weekends or weeknights. I went on a Wednesday evening around 7:40 after a walk at the park. There was a line in the parking lot for the drive-thru as well as a standing line at the window. I can't remember exactly but I think I waited about 45 minutes. However, I wasn't in a rush and I wanted to try them out. I ordered a small banana snowcone, Elote with all the toppings, their twisted pickles, and a hotdog with the cheese on it. The snow cone was a pretty big size for a small and I got it with the condensed milk cream on top. It was definitely good and the price was perfect, so no complaints there. The Elote was definitely the best I've ever had in a long time. I will definitely go back for that. It was a nice size for about $2.75. Whereas other places will probably charge you $6. They had all the perfect seasonings. The they charged me for the chili cheese dog but I didn't want the chili. Had I known I was still going to get charge for the same price I would've kept the chili, but it was still a good price for a hotdog. As for the twisted pickles from the picture, it look like it supposed to be a Kool-Aid pickle & I've had Kool-Aid pickles in my childhood, but this was different. First they put the pickles in a hotdog Styrofoam container with juice in it so as it was sitting in my bag, on the way home is spilled all throughout the bag and all throughout my car seat, which I was not happy about. Secondly, when I got ready to taste the twisted pickles or Kool-Aid pickles, in my experience I'm used to sweets Kool-Aid. Therefore, the pickles should've been a sweet taste or at most a sweet & sour taste. Unfortunately, this was just a red colored dill pickle. The pickle was extremely sour and the koolaid had no sugar so it was just full color which stained my hands as well. It was so sour my nose started to sweat. And I was so disappointed because I love Kool-Aid pickles. I could make them on my own. They give you four spears, but they are missing the sugar. Unless that's how they intended it to be it could be different for each cultures experience, but in my culture we do Kool-Aid pickles. The Kool-Aid is sweet just like when you drink Kool-Aid it is sweet. Overall other than that it was great pricing, like when you went the neighborhood candy lady, but with so many treats, like what you'd get at the rodeo. I would recommend people to to give it a shot.

Two big things this place has going for them is their affordability and menu variety!! You can get so many different things for such a great price. I love coming here for the raspas-- the small size is super loaded, makes it seem like a large. I've tried a few different things and have loved all. They also don't hold back on anything which is great. Only giving it 4 stars though because of the super long wait time.. They are almost always packed, both drive thru and waiting in line. Be ready to wait a while if coming here, especially on weekends or night time. I've had to wait anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. There are a few tables and seating areas, as well as a kids area to entertain the kids.

Came across this spot on Yelp, while in search of a funnel cake one Saturday. So I made my way over. Wasn't expecting there to be a long line, but it was a pretty, hot day and I guess everyone had the same idea...snowballs and funnel cakes. The snowball ice wasn't as soft as I prefer and wasn't as juicy, but it got the job done. For the price that I paid for the funnel cake and snowball..I won't complain. Prices are very reasonable and they have a lot to choose from on the menu. They have a pretty large seating area, some covered, some not. A good spot to enjoy family and friends.
